**Written by Doug Powers The discussion on Morning Joe was cranking along pretty good during the “criticize the GOP candidates” segment. That is, until Mika Brzezinski changed the subject to Solyndra and looked around waiting for somebody to take the hand-off and run with it. At that point, the “talking heads” quickly turned into just “heads.

According to the U.S. Park Police, his name is Oscar Ortega. There is an arrest warrant out for him in connection with a Friday gunfire incident, and officials released the photo this morning after bullets were found on the White House exterior Tuesday. He is described as a “21-year-old Hispanic man, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 160 pounds, with a medium build, brown eyes and black hair.” He is apparently mentally ill, may have blended in with Occupy DC activists, and has a “fixation with the White House.

So, yeah. All that White House demagoguery about prescription drug shortages I wrote about last week was simply smoke and mirrors to cover up rotten crony deals for his Big Pharma/Big Labor friends. I shed more light below on the chumminess between former SEIU thug-in-chief Andy Stern, fat cat Dem donor Ronald Perelman, and Obama health care bureaucrat Nicole Lurie. Related non-shocker: SEIU announced its endorsement of Obama 2012. Pay to play. Corrupt birds of a feather… *** Obama’s Half-Billion-Dollar Crony Drug Deal by Michelle Malkin Creators Syndicate Copyright 2011 What do you get when you mix Democratic fat-cat donations, Big Labor favors, pharmaceutical lobbying and Beltway business as usual?

Just in from C-SPAN: A request to Chief Justice John Roberts to allow camera coverage of the Obamacare oral arguments next spring. They’ve been stubbornly opposed to sunlight, but it’s worth a try: SCOTUS Healthcare TV Coverage(function() { var scribd = document.createElement("script"); scribd.type = "text/javascript"; scribd.async = true; scribd.src = "http://www.

**Written by Doug Powers It’s a special Tuesday edition of a Friday night email dump, and it comes near mid-week because Democrats don’t control the House committee in question. Energy Secretary Steven Chu is scheduled to appear before a Solyndra inquiry on Thursday, so I’m sure he’ll be asked about this: The Obama administration urged officers of the struggling solar company Solyndra to postpone announcing planned layoffs until after the November 2010 midterm elections, newly released e-mails show. Solyndra, the now-shuttered California company, had been a poster child of President Obamas initiative to invest in clean energies and received the administrations first energy loan of $535 million. But a year ago, in October 2010, the solar panel manufacturer was quickly running out of money and had warned the Energy Department it would need emergency cash to avoid having to shut down. The new e-mails about the layoff announcement were released Tuesday morning as part of a House Energy and Commerce committee memo… As you read content of one of the emails, keep in mind that the 2010 election was on November 2nd: DOE continues to be cooperative and have indicated that they will fund the November draw on our loan (app. $40 million) but have not committed to December yet, a Solyndra investor adviser wrote Oct.

**Written by Doug Powers File this story under “Al Gore’s portfolio hardest hit”: United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Monday urged governments in rich nations to work around troubled economic times and scale up donations to a global climate change fund that is at risk of becoming an “empty shell”. The world’s poorest nations are particularly vulnerable to rising sea levels, more extremes of droughts and floods and say rich nations should help them with cash to try to adapt. Nearly 200 nations agreed at major climate talks last year in Cancun, Mexico, to raise $100 billion annually from 2020 to help poor nations fight climate change. The money would be managed by a Green Climate Fund.

He said countries should act now to donate to the now empty Green Climate Fund.

Scroll down for updates…funny business in the courtroom…hoo-boy… As of 4:10am Eastern. Clean-up time. Finally. NYPD is in full riot-gear tonight and the Occupiers are up in arms on Twitter. A police officer has reportedly announced with a bullhorn that the encampment at the private park is a “fire hazard” (among many other health hazards) and that those who don’t clear out will be arrested. Hope the police brought extra Lysol and rubber gloves.

So this just arrived in my e-mail box tonight from the other Michelle: Michelle – As I have traveled across the country, I have had the privilege of meeting incredible women from all walks of life. From young women paying their own way through college, to moms working the extra shift to keep food on the table, to women struggling to make ends meet during retirement. We talk about their bills, their children — how they’re constantly striving to strike that balance between work and family. And no matter what kind of challenges they’re facing, they don’t complain. They just work harder. This is what we do as women.

A lot of competition for the award, but this freak wins hands down (hat tip: Ed Shahzade): A Suffolk University law professor will not collect items for United States troops overseas and thinks it is “shameful” to do so. Law professor Michael Avery sent a five-paragraph e-mail to colleagues in response to a school-wide appeal for care packages for deployed soldiers. “I think it is shameful that it is perceived as legitimate to solicit in an academic institution for support for men and women who have gone overseas to kill other human beings” wrote Avery. Avery also wrote that he believes sympathy for troops in harms way is not particularly rational in todays world. The e-mail did not stop with Averys objection to the care packages. Avery went on to question the schools intent of the American flag hanging in the atrium: Since Sept.

It has nothing to do with anything Gloria Allred has her hands in. It’s his continued lack of preparedness on, and familiarity with, basic domestic and foreign policy issues. Sorry, Cain fans. Tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. But like Rick Perry, Herman Cain is just not ready for prime time. The real Cain scandal: He can barely form a coherent thought on Libya when put on the spot and garbles collective bargaining 101 facts.
