Lundqvist the Difference As Rangers Go Up on Devils
With 36 saves, Henrik Lundqvist made it possible for the Rangers to once again stay in a game long enough for their offense to wake up. The alarm clock went off in the third period, and for the second time in three games this series, the Rangers won, 3-0, to take a two-games-to-one-lead. The Rangers have six goals in the third periods of their two wins, and two total in the other seven sessions. Dan Girardi, Chris Kreider (on a deflection) and Ryan Callahan (empty-netter, but it's still something) scored.

Video: NYC Chelsea FC Supporters React To Champions League Victory
Chelsea FC shocked the soccer world yesterday, defeating a dominant Bayern Munich side on penalties to earn their first UEFA Champions League title. Local Chelsea supporters took to the streets, and KickTV captured the drunken celebration outside the Football Factory at Legends in Midtown. As you can see from the screenshot above, the fans were positively gushing.

Lockerbie Bomber, Predicted To Die In 2009, Is Dead Now
This has been the longest 90 days ever: Abdelbaset al-Megrahi, the man convicted of the Pan Am 103 bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland, killing 270 were killed (189 of them Americans), has died, according to his brother. The BBC reports that he died in his home in Tripoli, Libya.

Photos: Four Injured In Early Morning Brooklyn Car Crash
        Early this morning, there was a two car accident in Brooklyn—and we happened to be on the scene when it occurred. The incident occurred just after 4 a.m. today at the intersection of Rogers Avenue and Union Street in Crown Heights. FDNY tells us that four people were all taken to Kings County Hospital with minor injuries. Check out photos of the accident above.

UWS Dad Jumps Onto Subway Tracks To Save Woman
While you were sipping your third mimosa and complaining about the subpar battery life on your cellular phone, Greg Wetzel was saving a woman's life. Wetzel, a 40-year-old father of three, was standing with his children at the West 72nd Street subway station at 12:45 yesterday afternoon when he saw something out of the corner of his eye: a woman had fallen unconscious onto the tracks. He immediately jumped down and lifted her to safety. "He didn’t hesitate,” a witness told the Daily News. “The guy was really amazing. This guy was like a real hero.

NYPD Arrests Artist Who Installed "I Heart NY" Bag For Planting False Bombs
The artist who was installing the "I Love NY" bag that caused a bomb scare in Williamsburg on Friday was arrested early Saturday morning while he was installing an identical work in Greenpoint. 50-year-old Takeshi Miyakawa, who lives in Brooklyn, was arrested at the intersection of Bedford, Lorimer, and Nassau, and charged with planting false bombs. At his arraignment this morning, Miyakawa was ordered to be held for an additional 30 days for a mental health evaluation by Judge Martin Murphy, despite the prosecution's request to fix bail.

Wife Of Virile Jet Antonio Cromartie Reportedly Faked Suicide
According to the Post, the seven-months pregnant wife of Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie sent her husband a series of suicidal texts messages in May 2011 that read: “God forgive me, I don’t want to die. What have I done?” and “I cut my wrists. I took those pills.” It turned out all to be a ruse to get her husband back home, fearing he was cheating on her with another woman. After all, the 28-year-old Cromartie has quite the reputation: he has 10 kids by eight different women in six states, AND the couple is expecting a set of twins soon.

Rangers-Sponsored Flight From LGA To Newark Took 5 Hours, Was In Air 10 Minutes
To celebrate the occasion of a gang of toothless millionaires pushing a disc around for glory (and money), the New York Rangers sponsored a flight from La Guardia to Newark yesterday, and the Times (with a photographer!) was on hand to witness the five minute flight. Reporter and Rangers fan Tony Gervino writes that the whole trip, "door to door," took five hours, "almost twice as long as the game itself." And what about the fact that Delta and the Rangers just spewed a ton of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, not to mention all the people who had to drive to the airport because they—WOOOOO GO RANGERS!

Acquitted "Rape Cop" Contemplating Suit Against City
Kenneth Moreno, the former NYPD officer who was acquitted of raping a woman in her East Village apartment but was convicted of misconduct, is contemplating filing a civil suit against New York City and HBO. "It's a civil-rights action," attorney Eric Sanders tells the Post. Moreno, who admitted under oath to spooning with and singing a Bon Jovi song to the woman he was accused of raping, and whose attorney compared a woman's vagina to a venus fly trap, feels aggrieved by his ordeal and that the prosecution planted evidence.
